Skilling is a fintech company from Scandinavia, founded in 2016 and providing STP broker services for beginners and professional traders. Skilling was first registered in Malta, but then moved its headquarters to Cyprus. The broker has offices in Cyprus, Malta and Spain, and thanks to the FSA license in the Seychelles, Skilling can offer its services not only to clients from the EU, but also to international traders.

The broker's trading offer is more than 800 instruments, and trading is carried out through the popular platforms MetaTrader 4 and cTrader. In addition, Skilling has developed its own software, Skilling Trader. Over time, Skilling has gained a good reputation in the world of brokerage services and is currently a sponsor of English football club Aston Villa.

Regulation Of Skilling

The Skilling brokerage company is regulated by the CySEC and FSA authorities, and fully complies with the standards and protective measures in accordance with the European ESMA. Thanks to the license FCA broker provides services to traders from the UK, Germany, Sweden, Norway and other EU countries.

In addition, Skilling has a license from the offshore jurisdiction of the Seychelles, which provides simple registration rather than serious regulation, but additional licenses from reputable regulators make the work of Skilling more reliable.

Leverage

European regulation significantly reduces the allowable leverage for retail customers to 1:30, while professionals are allowed to use a higher level up to 1:200.

However, since Skilling is pre -vil global offer for international traders through a jurisdiction in the Seychelles, opening an account with this organization will allow you to use higher leverage levels up to 1:500.

Skilling trading accounts

The Skilling broker offers both a standard account with zero Commission and low spread, and a Premium account based on fast execution, fixed Commission and a spread of 0.1 pips. By opening a single account, you can use any platform of your choice, including MT4, cTrader, and Skilling Trader.

Skilling

However, the premium account excluded MT4 from the offer, but this is not a serious restriction, since cTrader and Skilling Trader are better suited for active trading.

Trading instrument

Markets where you can trade with Skilling include Forex currency pairs, CFDs on stocks, indices, commodities, metals, and popular cryptocurrencies with Ripple, Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin, etc.

Minimum deposit

For a standard account, you will need $100 as the first Deposit, and for a premium account - $5000.

Conclusions

Skilling is a relatively new player among brokers, but already with a fairly good reputation and competitive trading conditions. One of the good points in its offer is the large choice between trading software, including industry-leading platforms and its own trading terminal, available through a single account.

Negative feedback from Default Admin User
My first Trading experience was with Skilling. After researching the web I realized that their spread and commission are a lot higher than others. Making it a very expensive app to trade on. You live and learn I guess, it’s the price of being a newbie. Interface is ok, but it has crashed a couple of times, and the timeframes aren’t always updating or working, wich can be frustrating. Right now I’m actually worried if I get to withdraw my deposit, or there will be “additional problems”. I’m transferring to another broker tomorrow, for better spreads and commissions.
